WORKNC on Sept. 10-12 at Makino Technology Expo in Michigan

WORKNC on Sept. 10-12 at Makino Technology Expo in Michigan The WORKNC computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution, which offers exclusive Advanced Toolform technology, will be exhibited Sept. 10-12 at the Makino Technology Expo in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

The Makino Technology Expo will include demonstrations of some of Makino’s latest high-precision machining and digital technologies, and will offer more than 20 technical presentations from which attendees may choose to ensure that they find topics that best meet their needs. Each of the event’s three days will focus on a different theme, including “The Predictable Process,” “Medical Parts Production,” and “Optimizing Your Die & Mold Applications.”

With the introduction of 5-axis machining for any tool shape, the latest version of WORKNC offers expanded functionality for its exclusive Advanced Toolform technology. This enables 5-axis tool shapes, such as barrels and ovals, to be calculated over part surfaces, including negative offsets.

Circle-segment tools deliver the benefit of a smoother contact point, resulting in larger stepovers without compromizing accessibility, as it keeps the shank diameter relatively small. WORKNC’s Advanced Toolform solution allows for multiple surfaces to be machined at the same time, in CAD models derived from any source, solid or surface-based.
