WorkNC 2017 R2 at Amerimold 2017, June 14-15 in Rosemont WorkNC 2017 R2, the latest release of the WorkNC computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution, by Vero Software, will be featured June 14-15 at Amerimold 2017, hosted at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.

Dedicated to mold manufacturing, Amerimold is an annual tradeshow and technical conference that addresses the business development, best practices and networking interests of the plastic-injection mold-manufacturing industry. Amerimold is owned and operated by 4th-generation, family-owned Gardner Business Media and is presented by MoldMaking Technology magazine, Plastics Technology magazine and Modern Machine Shop magazine.

WorkNC 2017 R2 includes improvements made to the solution’s Waveform roughing cycle, including toolpath optimization achieved by considering tool load during intermediate Z-step calculations.

“Faster and safer than ever, the Waveform strategy significantly improves standard roughing technologies with its consistent material removal while increasing the tool and machine service life,” said Brand Manager Miguel Johann. “The Waveform technology has been designed to perform roughing operations at very high speeds and requires toolpath security control.”

A Waveform roughing option allows users to force the initial lead-in and the final lead-out to a secure point above the stock in case of a difference between the virtual stock and the real stock on the machine.
