“Tech Industry 2017” is the most significant and largest project dedicated to technologies, machinery, automation and manufacturing solutions in the Baltic countries. This year, more than 270 companies from Europe, CIS and other region were participating as exhibitors.

Dreambird, an official distributor of Vero Software solutions in the region, was sharing a 100-square-meter booth with Italian Machinery Association. The event visitors — potential and existing customers, industry peers and engineers saw the latest version of Radan 2018 R1 for the first time in Baltic countries. User friendliness, speed and efficiency of part nesting was the function that attracted most of interest.

Italian Machinery Association installed several sheet metal working machines on the same booth — punching (Euromac MTX Plus flex 6 hybrid 1250/30-2500), bending (Vimercati PHSY 3012) and finishing (Costa Levigatrici MD6 CRCG 350). It enabled the booth to demonstrate vital role of Radan in the complete sheet metal fabrication process: parts created in Radan were then punched, bent and finished in real-time mode, attracting attention of the visitors.

The new release includes a number of items of new and enhanced functionality which focus specifically on the “engineering of parts” processes. Developers are now working on separating Radan into two distinct aspects: traditionally creating NC code to drive CNC machines, and “engineering of parts.” Radan isn’t just a CAM system any more. It plays an important role in ensuring sheet metal manufacturers are best placed to run with Industry 4.0.
