Edgecam at Gosigerfest 2017, Sept. 20-21 in Ohio

Edgecam at Gosigerfest 2017, Sept. 20-21 in Ohio Valued for its ability to meet a wide range of machining needs, the Edgecam computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution, by Vero Software, will be exhibited Sept. 20-21 at Gosigerfest 2017, hosted by machine-tool and solutions provider Gosiger at its headquarters in Dayton, Ohio.

This year marks the sixth biennial Gosigerfest event, which draws manufacturing industry leaders, vendors and end users together to network and enjoy German food and beer while seeing the latest manufacturing technologies. Gosigerfest also offers a selection of technical seminars that focus on helping manufacturers boost efficiency.

Demonstrations of Edgecam 2017 R2, which introduces a new turning cycle that includes B-axis movements while machining on a turning center, will be available at Gosigerfest. A part programd in Edgecam will be cut on a Nomura lathe at the event.

The new turning cycle allows greater accessibility when machining complex profiles by dynamically positioning the insert. The toolholder is gouge-protected during deployment, and the user can have additional control over the toolpath by deploying over-ride angles. This new cycle can be used with all types of turning tools, and for both roughing and finishing operations.
