Edgecam at Sandvik Coromant Universities Day in Mexico on August 29

Known for its ability to program any machine tool, the Edgecam computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution, by Vero Software, will be featured August 29 at Universities Day, an event hosted by Sandvik Coromant in Querétaro, Mexico.
Edgecam Reseller SIDISA will exhibit the solution at the technology showcase, which enables metalworking university students in the region to gain exposure to leading brands in the metalworking industry.
Edgecam 2017 R2 introduces a new turning cycle that includes B-axis movements while machining on a turning center. This new feature allows greater accessibility when machining complex profiles by dynamically positioning the insert.
The toolholder is gouge-protected during deployment, and the user can have additional control over the toolpath by deploying over-ride angles. This new cycle can be used with all types of turning tools, and for both roughing and finishing operations.
There are about 20 items of new and enhanced functionality in Edgecam 2017 R2, including those for turning, milling, simulation, and wire EDM.
