Edgecam and WorkXplore at Open House & Lunch-n-Learn in Florida

Edgecam and WorkXplore at Open House & Lunch-n-Learn in Florida The Edgecam computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution and WorkXplore computer-aided-design (CAD) file viewer will be featured March 15 at an open house and lunch-n-learn event hosted at the facility of machine-tool distributor Gosiger, in Ocoee, Fla.

“We will discuss and demonstrate high-efficiency machining, including how to get more out of the machines you currently own, and how the right equipment can make it more productive,” said Steve Harrison, owner of Edgecam reseller Silverhawk Solutions.

Event participants will have the opportunity to network with peers, as well as with CNC software and machinery experts, and to see live machining demonstrations on three machine tools. A program highlight will be the demonstration of an Okuma L300 paired with Iscar tooling to perform Edgecam Waveform milling and turning high-efficiency processes.

Among Edgecam’s time-saving capabilities is the Waveform roughing strategy, a high-speed machining cycle that is available for milling and turning and delivers consistent tool-engagement with the material, thereby maintaining constant tool-cutting load. By generating smooth toolpath to avoid sharp changes in direction, Edgecam Waveform maintains machine-tool velocity while decreasing cycle time and increasing tool life.

WorkXplore CAD file viewer and analyzer delivers a robust combination of full-feature capabilities at remarkable speed. Developed to increase the ease of collaboration, WorkXplore is designed to enhance productivity and effectiveness with design, process development, manufacturing, quality, sales and customer communications, purchasing, product documentation and more.
