RADAN at FABTECH 2019 in Chicago Nov. 11-14

The latest version of RADAN was featured at booth No. A3510, where visitors were encouraged to see the time-saving solution in action. Designed for maximum efficiency and material utilization, the RADAN solution for sheet metal was exhibited Nov. 11-14 at FABTECH 2019, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
FABTECH 2019 drew more than 1,700 exhibitors and 48,000 attendees for a celebration of metal manufacturing at its finest. The event served as an opportunity to share the latest knowledge, and to see cutting-edge technologies and products in action. The event also provided educational sessions and expert-led presentations covering the latest trends and technologies in the metal-forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industries.
Visitors to the show were encouraged to learn more about the latest version of RADAN at booth No. A3510, where Radquote, RADAN’s sheet-metal quoting system, and the WORKPLAN MES system were exhibited.
The new quick-nest mode in RADAN 2020.0 provides a more visual interface, as well as limited upfront setup for projects and a redesigned new-project dialog feature that allows users to nest more quickly. Time benefits can also be achieved with machine-specific projects and templates, which are also designed to help users nest more quickly.
In addition to faster project initiation, it is also easier for users to pick up on previous projects. The new streamlined mode benefits from reduced mouse travel and an autosave function so that work is never lost. This ease of use ensures that the software is simple to learn and allows more complex projects to be completed efficiently.
Radquote enables users to quickly and easily create quotes for sheet-metal parts and purchased parts. The system delivers full breakdowns of costs and allows users to alter each cost area for the flexibility needed while negotiating. Radquote provides a standard set of cost calculations for operations such as material consumption, laser cutting, punching and bending. Other operations, such as welding, painting, subcontracting, and assembly, can also be easily configured.
WORKPLAN is a project-management and production solution designed to automate business processes and support the administration of customer manufacturers. From supplies and inventory to quotes and project plans, WORKPLAN is designed to help manage every aspect of a job. A direct link between RADAN and WORKPLAN facilitates fluid data exchange for improved productivity. The latest release of WORKPLAN includes new and enhanced functionality, making it the first integrated project management system combining ERP and MES functionality in a single database.
