Vero Software's New Hires in the USA

Vero Software's New Hires in the USA To represent and further expand its USA services related to Edgecam and Surfcam brands in different parts of the country, Vero Software has recently hired a new Applications Engineer Michael Welk and a Southwest Regional Account Manager Chris Carter.

Wisconsin-based Application Engineer Michael Welk will provide technical support for its Edgecam and Surfcam computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solutions. Welk worked for 15 years as a computer-assisted tool and die engineer before joining the ranks of Surfcam reseller Programming Plus, Inc., for which he provided technical support and training in the latest computer-aided-design (CAD) and CAM technologies for another 15 years.

“I'm honored to bring my wealth of Surfcam Traditional knowledge to Vero, both for support and training,” Welk says. “Vero's online tools allow me to stick my nose into customer's computers to help them with anything from installing licenses to moving their CNC posts where they belong and other software configurations, quickly and accurately. I look forward to keeping Surfcam Traditional the force that it is in America and beyond for many, many years to come while expanding my own knowledge within the Vero family of software.”

Based in Waddell, Arizona, Southwest Regional Account Manager Chris Carter will oversee operations for and expansion of the brands in Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.

“I hope to bring my years of experience in machine motion to help my customers become more efficient and productive in their shop,” Carter said. “I am very eager to locally support this growing territory for Vero Software with world-class manufacturing solutions.”

Carter is a veteran of the US Air Force, for which he was responsible for ensuring the operational flight capability of aircraft in war-time operations. He graduated from ITT-Technical Institute in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science, with a focus on project management. He has since held sales positions in the industrial automation industry, most recently as an account representative at a company that that specializes in part inspection.
