Webinar: various press tool and die development in CAD/CAM/CAE VISI

Dreambird, an official distributor of Hexagon Production Software CAD/CAM solutions and Boleslav Ziman, an engineer with over 30 years of VISI experience, will host an introductory webinar about creating progressive and other dies for sheet metal fabrication. The webinar will look into VISI functionalities for automation, optimization, acceleration of trimming, progressive, forming and other dies design and manufacturing.
The webinar will feature both CAD and CAM VISI functionalities for the full cycle of die creation. The attendees will see specialized VISI die modules. Industry specific functionality of VISI Progress module provides a more productive and efficient design experience for progressive die and press tool makers. Helping the designer with intelligent decisions will reduce the potential for error and greatly improve manufacturing productivity. VISI Blank is an integrated solution for the development of 2D blank shapes from complex 3D models. It is particularly useful in the generation of blank forms for the sheet metal, progressive die, press tooling and crash tooling industries.
The presentation will show how a progressive die is created using the part geometry, resulted by obtaining a sheet with a certain flat form. We will look into aspects of choosing material and its behavior at stamping with a springback, as well as elimination of the springback impact.
